Quando la passione per la musica incontra il sogno del cinema, solo una cosa può accadere: la nascita dei JMP.
Siamo nel 2014. Il visionario chitarrista Gabriele Bellini, filmofilo da sempre, invita il soprano (eh si, cantante d'opera) a fare un paio di improvvisazioni su dei pezzi strumentali per l'ennesimo concerto. Lì scatta la grande magia del cinema.
Cominciò così questa improvvisazione: due note da quel film, un vocalizzo dall'altro e tutto prende vita.
Ma qualcosa mancava, quel qualcosa che rende il film meraviglioso...o qualcuno?
Ecco allora l'apparizione di Michel Agostini, presenza sempre nascosta dietro piatti e tamburi.
Finalmente pronti, comincia il film targato JMP.
Inizialmente la trama si snoda intorno ad una base. Come rendere propria una cover? Come fare a suonarla con così pochi strumenti?
Essendo una band dalla formazione ridotta serviva un'idea che non snaturasse le colonne sonore ed ecco il lampo.. perchè non improvvisarci sopra?
Batteria, chitarra e voce diventano così strumenti solisti che dominano le melodie, rendendole ancora più epiche o tenebrose, strumenti che arricchiscono di sentimenti ed emozioni mutevoli in ogni esibizione.
Da subito si fanno spazio tre films che hanno lasciato un segno indelebile nella memoria del pubblico: Matrix, SinCity e Saw, in cui la virtuosa chitarra di Gabriele si scontra e si accompagna alla voce di Claire mentre dalla sua postazione Michel colora con suoni a dir poco mutevoli e percussionistici.
Ma come in ogni film non basta l'idea, serve anche la magia.
Muta e si dilata la direzione.. andiamo oltre le basi e benvenute melodie limpide veloci. Si creano così i Medley, i cui cenni riportano ad altri tempi e sensazioni, sentimenti discostanti e al tempo stesso altamente emozionali.
Mettetevi comodi..
Si spengono le luci..
Comincia il film.. ma il finale è ancora da scrivere.

We are in 2014. The visionary guitarist Gabriele Bellini, filmmaker forever, invites soprano (eh, opera singer) to make a couple of improvisations on instrumental pieces for the next concert. There is the great magic of cinema.
This improvisation began: two notes from that film, one vocalization on the other and everything is alive.
But something was missing, that something that makes the movie wonderful ... or someone?
Here is the appearance of Michel Agostini, always hidden behind plates and drums.
Finally ready, the movie started with JMP.
Initially, the plot winds around a base. How to make a cover? How to play it with so few tools?
Being a band from a small formation had an idea that did not twist the soundtracks and here's the lightning .. why not get improvised on it?
Drums, guitar and vocals become so solo instruments that dominate melodies, making them even more epic or darker, tools that enrich the changing feelings and emotions in each performance.
There are three films that leave an indelible sign in the public's memory: Matrix, SinCity and Saw, where Gabriele's virtuoso guitar fights and accompanies Claire's voice, while Michel stands out from her station with sounds to dir Little change and percussion.
But as in any movie, the idea is not enough, it also serves magic.
Mutes and wraps up the direction .. we go beyond the basics and welcome clear loud tunes. This is how the Medley is created, whose records point to other times and sensations, disintegrating and at the same time highly emotional feelings.
