Hi, my name is Ruby, and this is a story of how I believed I'm a lesbian, but it turns out I'm not.
Ever since I was little, I was very boyish. I have never liked the barbie dolls and would always play with the toys of my little brother; we'd usually fight because of that.
When Highschool arrived, that's when I totally became a lesbian. One day, I went straight to my parents and told both of them about it. I was so nervous back then, but then my mom and dad just laughed. They said they saw it coming ever since I was a kid. They weren't sure at; first, they thought that I was just a tomboy, but they said they still loved me whatever my decision was, though my mom did warn me that I need to take things slow and figure out my identity on my own and not to listen to the opinion of others.
Thinking about it now, I'm so grateful for my parents. I've met a lot of friends who were gay and bisexual, and most of their parents weren't as supportive as mine; if anything, they even got shunned by their own family.
At senior high, I adored the beautiful girls at my school, mind you though, I myself, looked pretty. Although I didn't wear girls outfits, I still looked and dressed like a girl. There were a lot of instances where guys would try to hit on me, but I told them straight in their faces that I only liked girls.
And finally, in my senior year, I had my first girlfriend. Her name was Madelyn, and she was drop-dead gorgeous. She had other girlfriends before, but for me, she was my first.
We dated, and I really enjoyed her company. I adored her, and we acted like a regular couple, even in public. We got used to the stares and whispers of people who didn't approve of such relationships.
We went out for months. At first, it was kissing, which I did before with other girls for fun, so I wasn't inexperienced on that part.
