Delhi Floods: Water-level of the Yamuna River reached an all-time high of 208.48 metres on July 13, marking it as an ‘extreme situation’ for Delhi. Parts of the Ring Road were submerged, waist-deep water collected at the Monastery Market near Kashmere Gate, and thousands of people abandoned their homes on the Yamuna floodplains as the water level of the river rose.
