PRIVIEW: Gujarat Titans are all set to lock horns against Punjab Kings in the 18th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League on Thursday in Mohali. Gujarat Titans would look to bounce back in this match as they had suffered colossal defeat in their last match against KKR. Hardik Pandya led Titans had been quite consistent before suffering defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders. In the match against KKR, Gujarat Titans had been led by stand-in skipper Rashid Khan with regular skipper Hardik Pandya feeling unwell. KKR had registered huge three-wicket victory against GT in the last-over thriller. GT’s pacer Yash Dayal had been smashed for five sixes by KKR’s Rinku Singh that became one of the thrilling victories in the IPL.
Gujarat Titans would not worry much as they have good positives with Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill and Vijay Shankar who have played major roles in team’s victories on previous occasions. Skipper Hardik Pandya would also be returning to lead the side. Overall, Gujarat Titans have played three matches with two victories and one loss. They have four points with the positive NRR of +0.431. In some ways, it is also going to be quite challenging for Titans as Punjab Kings skipper Shikhar Dhawan has been in marvellous form which will be a big headache for Titans. On the other hand, GT also have terrific bowlers in the form of Mohd. Shami, Alzarri Joseph and Rashid Khan.
