"Lyrically this one focuses on a few moments from childhood and few things from most recently in my life. Grudge is quite literally about holding grudges. The song also touches on Loss, and guilt. While writing and recording this one I was still dealing with the loss of a loved one. I felt angry about how certain things went about. It was all out of my control and I couldn’t grieve or really say goodbye how I wanted to. I couldn’t accept any of it. In reality I was just pointing fingers and not accepting how this current change was affecting me. Life was shifting and changing way too fast. Writing my feelings out really helped me connect with myself and forgive the people around me. I was lucky enough to finish writing the lyrics to the song on the beach of Montauk. I woke up in the morning around 530-6am feeling a panic attack coming on and I just went for a walk and collected myself and found myself on the beach. I felt really lucky and grateful to be able to take a deep breath out there to collect my thoughts and feel my feelings alone with just the beach and all the nature that was around me. I’m very lucky to have such strong and forgiving people around me."
