“2 Go (amapiano) is essentially a party song inspired by big city nightlife culture. Composing the song started after a night out clubbing in Nairobi, Kenya. It was my first time in East Africa so “I have never been here before” was the first line which then developed into the song. I then produced and recorded the song in Harare, Zimbabwe. I had my talented sister, Drey (Audrey) handle vocals (which resulted in an amazing performance!). Young DLC is considered one of the most in-demand producers in Africa. With a decade of commercial production achievements Young DLC has worked major TV shows and notable commercial productions in South Africa and Africa. Based in Hatfield, Pretoria, South Africa Young DLC is an electronic dance music artist, producer, songwriter and DJ. Revered for his Coke Studio Africa shows, Young DLC also acted as key producer (2017 & 2019) for Coke Studios working major remixes, and covers. During this time DLC produced the smash “Run Away” by Aewon Wolf and Jade McDonalds and collaborated with Sylent Nqo releasing the banger single “Be My Girl” which enjoyed massive airplay across South Africa (with the notable achievement of spending 17 weeks on Algoa FM’s Top 30). DLC also holds notable co-production on Mlindo's 'Nge Thanda Wena' (featuring Sha sha) with Maphorisa which has generated 3+ million YouTube streams. DLC studied Electronic Sound Production at the Soul Candi Institute and signed an extensive publishing and production deal with Sony Music South Africa in 2017.
Young DLC is also credited as BET Africa producer for the critically acclaimed Isono opening sequence.
