Today I'm going to be reviewing 3 of my favorite free website builders, for anyone who is interested in creating a website for free, I've left the links to all the free website builders I'll be going over today in the description box below so you can check them out for yourself and see which one is best suited for you.
Ok so, The first free website builder I recommend is webnode. Webnode is particularly good because they give you the freedom to build an unlimited number of pages, and they let you choose from a variety of mobile responsive templates. Customized domain names don't come with free website builders but if you pay a small fee you can get your own domain name through Webnode, or you can simply use the free one it gives you, which is basically "yourwebsite.webnode.com". It's not that bad but it's always more professional and attractive to have your own domain name so if you have the money to upgrade your account I’d recommend you do so. However using webnode’s free website builder will work just fine and you’ll be able to build a great looking website without spending a penny.
The second free website builder I recommend is Ucraft. Ucraft also displays relatively small ads on your website, so it's not that bad. Ucraft is a bit different from webnode. Unlike Webnode, you don't get an unlimited amount of pages. and it's more suitable for those who are more familiar with websites and building them. So it's not as user friendly as Webnode and can be a bit more difficult for beginners. However, the pro of Ucraft is that it's free of course, and if you've purchased a domain name already, it gives you the option to hook it up to your website with them. So be sure to check them out!
Alright guys the last free website builder I'd recommend if you’re looking to make a website would be strikingly. This is one of the best website builders for beginners, it's super easy to navigate and understand. The reason why it's simple is because it makes it so that your entire website can be presented on one page. Though you won't have more pages it gives your clients a simple overview of your website, and makes the building of the website easier on you. It's best for people who are selling products, and need a simple free one page website, strikingly is great for that. Again, it's very user friendly and if you like the way it's set up but want more pages for your website you can always get a paid plan, thought their prices can be a bit expensive. Unfortunately for their free plans and even their cheapest plan, they have ads on your website and they are a bit obvious. They're not as lowkey as they are with Webnode or Ucraft. They stick out as you can see and sort of follow you around as you navigate the website. But they have really nice designs and it honestly feels like anyone can use it, even if you don't have a pc you can edit it on your phone. You will get a free domain name with strikingly which like the others is “your account name.strikingly.com.”
By the way, although these are great website builders, they are free. So that means you won't get all the perks you'd want when creating a website, like a personalized domain name, unlimited bandwidth and you won't have access to all the professional features you'd want. Also, you'll probably have advertisements on your website which can be a bit of a turn off honestly for your clients and customers looking into your products or services.
So I’d recommend trying out these 3 website builders for yourself, to see which one best suits your needs, and if you have the money to do so, upgrade your account to take advantage of the premium features these website builders have to offer, they’re affordable and it really makes a big difference to the overall look and feel of your website.
