These rags of 1909 were virtually the last ones written by Scott Joplin. Eugenia, Leola and Bethena was published in 1905, Elite Syncopations and Rose Leaf Rag was 1902 and 1907 respectively. These classic Piano pieces was played by Joshua Rifkin a Assistant Professor of Music at Brandeis University an Musical Director of Nonesuch Records. He studied Piano with David Labovitz and attended the Juillard School of Music. His first record of Scott Joplin Rags was honored with a Record of the Year Award by Stereo Review.
