Introducing Enoo Napa: a self-taught producer hailing from the vibrant township of Umlazi, Durban in KwaZulu Natal. Recognized as the #1 Afro House Artist in 2017 on Traxsource, Enoo Napa's musical prowess is a fusion of ambient, dark Afro sounds intertwined with techy synths, creating an immersive experience for global audiences.
Enoo Napa's rise to prominence began in 2013, marked by his remix of Jackie Queen's "Conqueror," a track that caught the discerning ears of none other than Black Coffee in 2015. Leaving behind his job as a CCTV operator, Enoo Napa fully embraced his musical calling, committing to a relentless schedule that resulted in a remarkable 15 remixes and 12 originals within 18 months.
His distinctive sound quickly permeated the sets of renowned DJs worldwide, earning him the 17th spot on the Traxsource Top 100 Afro House Producers of 2016. Collaborating with industry heavyweights such as Black Coffee, N'dinga Gaba, Mi Casa, and DJ Merlon, Enoo Napa has solidified his status as one of the most prolific Afro House producers in South Africa.
Enoo Napa's signature style, characterized by heavy, raw Afro, and electronically infused cuts, has found a home on esteemed international labels, including Iklwa Brothers Music, MoBlack, Offering Recordings, Aluku Records, Arrecha Records, and DM Recordings, to name a few.
As a prolific remixer, his approach to production is a dynamic and immersive process fueled by a love for synths, automation, and the transformative power of the genre. For him, a track must evoke a connection, with well-recorded vocals or standout instrumentations serving as essential elements for a remarkable remix. His ultimate goal is to create music that captivates dancefloors, ensuring that if he can't dance to it, it won't be released.
Influenced by the likes of Black Coffee and Culoe de Song, Enoo Napa aspires to fly the RSA flag worldwide, contributing to the rich legacy of South African music on the global stage. With each release, he continues to carve his own path, bringing a raw, energetic sound that pulsates with life, setting dancefloors ablaze and leaving an indelible mark on the Afro House landscape.
