With their musical journey extending over a decade, Sergey Khavro graduated from writing upbeat ear-worms for the lovesick to being a voice of reality and self-reflection. Shortly after moving to Moscow in 2014, he was joined on stage by the musicians of another fan-favorite indie act Mari!Mari!, thus effectively transforming his bedroom project to a fully-fledged live band. Combining shimmering guitars licks and cavernous multi-layered vocal sweeps with profound lyrical self-examinations, Parks, Squares and Alleys treads the border between the shoegaze etherealism of the 90’s and dream-pop craftsmanship, all while keeping his work DIY to its fullest.
