"Without You" spent five weeks at number one on the UK Singles Chart, beginning on 11 March 1971, eventually selling almost 800,000 copies. It went to number one in several other countries, including Australia (for five weeks), Ireland (two weeks) and New Zealand (two weeks).
This is a song I’ve always loved since my early 20’s and glad I’ve got around to recording a guitar cover.
Played on my Alan Brason Custom Stratocaster with Kinman FV-HMS pickups on Mid position through an Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with EFTP patch 0-36.
I used a Carl Martin Plexitone and a Boss CS2 compressor / Sustainer for the distorted section.
Sound recorded in Cubase SX 6 and edited with the three 4K Video takes in sony vegas pro 14.
