This hymn is taken from the Methodist Hymn Book - MHB No. 431 and was composed by Rev. Charles Wesley, a great musicologist, evangelist, preacher and a general of God Almighty. Born on 19 December 1707, Rev. Charles Wesley attended Oxford University, London and there he formed the Holy Club or Godly Club now known as the Methodist Movement found in over 200 countries in the world today.

LOVE divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of heaven, to earth come down;
Fix in us Thy humble dwelling,
All Thy faithful mercies crown:
Jesu, Thou art all compassion,
Pure, unbounded love Thou art;
Visit us with Thy salvation,
Enter every trembling heart.
Come, Almighty to deliver,
Let us all Thy grace receive;
Suddenly return, and never,
Never more Thy temples leave:
Thee we would be always blessing,
Serve Thee as Thy hosts above,
Pray, and praise Thee without ceasing,
