US GUIDED INTRA ARTICULAR BOTULINUM TOXIN FOR RECALCITRANT KNEE OA PAIN

 

48 years active male with grade 2 OA knees with sever recalcitrant bilateral knee pain since 5 years did not respond to Physical and rehabilitation Treatment ,laser accupuncture ,accupuncture, IA steroides and IA HA ,reviewed our MSK US IP unit two years back as ortho advised him to postpon his knee replacement ,we have given him IA Botulinum toxin 100 unit each knee in 5 ml saline and home exercise with good response in VAS and WOMAC and functionl activities .With recurrent knee pain one month ago we have given him again another IA Botulinum toxin A 100 U each knee with a good response in VAS and WOMAC
