Lyrics:
Verse 1
Don’t know why you love me so much
When I can’t say I deserve us
Like a rockets failure to launch
I just let it self destruct
And it’s not right (no)
And it hurts twice when it’s good intentioned
But that’s life (right?)
Or is it my pride that wouldn’t listen
Chorus
I never was too good at this thing we call love
But if you teach me I know I could be a better man
Until you showed me all that I could become
I didn’t know what it was to be good at this thing called love
Verse 2
Don’t know when enough is enough
That’s what makes the problems
Put in all your tears, sweat, and blood
But you’re the one who suffered most
And it’s not right
But you know I’m good and well intentioned
But that’s life
And maybe we’ll try to find our happy ending
Listen baby
Chorus
I never was too good at this thing called love
But if you teach me I know I could be a better man
Until you showed me all that I could become
I didn’t know what it was to be good at this thing called love
