The UK's mighty Citizenn (Crosstown Rebels) and Antipodean wanderer Deepchild present the "New Position" EP - an unlikely collaboration in after-hours sleaze and deep, grit-soaked techno soul from 2 techno veterans. Drawing from a garage tinged palate, these two re-rubs are a far cry from the platinum sheen they reference. "One 4 U" grinds deep beneath a haze of peak time dystopic longing; reflected through black mirrors and woozy euphoria. "New Position" breaks just before the dawn. Soaked in entheogenic magic, this acid-burnished rework of an RnB classic has all the hallmarks of a contemporary dub house masterpiece. Early support and play by Maya Jane Coles, Alan Fitzpatrick and Richy Ahmed... don't sleep on this Bandcamp-only release on the duo's new label, Room Service Recordings. https://roomservicerecordings.bandcamp.com/releases --- mixed and mastered at Neu Music Studios
