Got myself undone
I spent two weeks on the run Bought some crystal had some fun Just like we used to do
Stole a car and drove down south
To my mother’s boyfriends house Came down for three days on the couch Just like she used to do
I Woke up alone
In the distance there’s a phone In my heart a sinking stone So, get me out of here
She told me I couldn’t stay Said I’d just get in the way Of her and the old man And their new kids
Told them they could go get fucked
Bought a knife for fifteen bucks
From the K-Mart down at Tea Tree Gully mall
Midnight Blue, in my room La’s
Spent the day getting high
Felt so lonesome I could cry
Bussing round and round the northern city heat
Saw the Smoke-mart down the street
Took the knife in there with me
All I got was eighty bucks and Winfield blues
Midnight blue, in my room La’s
Sat there waiting for the cops
On the footpath by the shops
All the cars just kept staring as they passed by Send my love to all the boys
You know that I had no choice
In my dreams I hear your voice I know it’s right
Midnight Blue, in my room La’s
