Set We were going to the port Elizabeth's port Up on the hill you did point Was Frederik's Fort I was upset And all the seraphim And all the cherubim Never knew them before Don't know them now What about my mother and her sisters? Where was their name? I was upset The modern parlance had turned dour The guys at Ferguson Street arriving by the hour To show their power Gun-slingers, cock-suckers, drink-bringers Rubbed shoulders For a taste of something sour And all the seraphim And all the cherubim (Did they avert their eyes) Up in the black New Brighton sky Was a flare Met with strangled cries And a strange joy in the air #Nakhane #NewBrighton #Anohni #OfficialMusicVideo
