The two met when the man came into a countryside for charity work. There he met a woman and fell in love.
But this was during a dictatorship in the 1960s. The women was accused to be a communist because her father when to North Korea. and when you are labelled as a communist during that time it means you are worse than a criminal.
The man was interrogated for knowing the women.
Ultimately they decide to travel together and forget about everyone pressuring them.
But the woman asks the man for some medicines because she doesn't feel well.
But when he is gone for medicine she leaves him. She probably left him because the man can be labelles as a communist if they continue to meet.
Of course, the man’s father was also very opposed to their meeting.
