The Pawikan Festival is one of the most meaningful cultural and environmental festivals in Bataan, celebrated every last week of November in the municipality of Morong. The festival highlights the importance of protecting and preserving marine turtles, locally known as “pawikan,” while promoting environmental conservation, tourism, culture, and community unity.
For many years, the Bantay Pawikan, Inc. together with the local government of Morong, the Bataan Tourism Council Foundation, Inc., the Provincial Government of Bataan, and the Provincial Tourism Office have organized activities that aim to raise awareness and support the continuous development and rehabilitation of the Pawikan Conservation Center.
This symbolic celebration not only showcases colorful street dancing competitions and cultural performances but also inspires people from all walks of life to participate in protecting the natural environment for future generations.
The Grand Champion performance from Dinalupihan, Bataan captured the hearts of many through powerful choreography, creativity, synchronization, and artistic storytelling that reflected the spirit of environmental protection and Filipino culture.
