Arthur Mutambara reacts to Mugabe's resignation

Speaker of parliament Jacob Mudenda brought the curtains down on President Robert Mugabe's 37-year rule of the country yesterday with the announcement that the president had resigned. The news was delivered to a special joint session of parliament. The announcement triggerd night-long celebrations all over the southern African country. In what is being described as The Zimbabwe Moment, former deputy Prime Minister Professor Arthur Mutambara says it's a unique moment for the people of the country to break from the past and create a New Zimbabwe.
