Blindboy - I Dream (original)

Blindboy - Ruckus In Lo-Fi Revisited mini-LP (AR009): https://www.juno.co.uk/products/blindboy-ruckus-in-lo-fi-mini-lp/656054-01/ Italy's reissue champion, Signore Manu Archeo comes up with another killer here, hitting us with a mini-LP pulled from the astoundingly rare and ever so excellent "Ruckus In Lo-Fi" LP. Released by the mysterious Blindboy on Sweden's Nu-Whop 1999, this sampledelic spectacular packed enough cut-up class and instrumental hip hop heat to send its second hand price soaring over the past fifteen years, so it's a treat to see it back on the shelves. Alongside the head-nodding jazzery of "Intro", psych-funk slicing of "Advice Of Investment" and Shadow-style stomp of "Incident", this mellow masterpiece also boasted a pair of big Balearic plays. First up, there's the infamous and excellent "I Dream", a killer combo of the trippy groove from Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall (Pt.1)", the drums from Tom Tom Club's "Genius Of Love" and some celestial vocals from Kajsa Hallberg. Heady, heavy and oh so funky, this is a horizontal dancer par excellence
