Roland D-50 Celebration Moments with Legowelt

 

Danny Wolfers, aka Legowelt, was exposed to the sound of the Roland D-50 in the late 1980s, after hearing the synth on the hit records and film soundtracks of the day. Intrigued by the way it combined sampled sounds and synthesis, a D-50 eventually found its way into Legowelt's inner sanctum, its inner workings studied and new sounds created by exploring the synth engine’s potential for deep, powerful programming.
