In this video I demonstrate every step I take to set up a Mac mini as my home server for file sharing, backup, iTunes duties and printing. I'm not going to call this video a tutorial, but if you were to follow these steps, you'd end up with a lovely little setup for home use with a lot of power and potential. I'd like to say another big thanks to Kyle for donating this wonderful Mac mini 2009 server edition and also a big thanks to Gregg Black for donating my original Mac mini which has been serving me well for years. This Mac mini happens to be a server edition but these steps apply to ANY Mac. Of course, Mac minis make a lot of sense as servers because they're small, quiet, power efficient and don't have a built in display.
