Vasu worked as an assistant to director-actor Manivannan and went on to act with Sathyaraj in the hit film 'Amaidhi Padai' . Alwa Vasu has acted with Rajinikanth in films such as 'Arunachalam' and 'Sivaji' . Also done many movies with Vadivelu, a comedy scene from Suriya's 'Vel' movie is most famous comedy. Alwa Vasu was in critical condition after suffering liver failure. Alwa Vasu died due to ill-health at Meenakshi Mission Hospital on 17th Aug, 2017.
