'God save The King': King Charles III makes speech after Proclamation and Queen death acknowledged. King Charles III has made a personal declaration on the death of his beloved mother Queen Elizabeth II today as Britain's new monarch was formally announced at St James's Palace in London today. Charles automatically became Sovereign on the death of his mother aged 96 at Balmoral on Thursday, but the Accession Council - a body of advisers that dates back to the time of the Norman kings - has formally announced his role today. Paying tribute to the Queen at the Accession Council, the King said: 'Her reign was unequalled in its duration, its dedication and its devotion. Even as we grieve, we give thanks for this most faithful life.' #King #KingCharles #charles #CharlesIII #Royals #QueenELizabeth #UKNews #RoyalsNews #proclamation Original Article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11199347/Liz-Truss-heads-St-Jamess-Palace-Charles-formally-proclaimed-King.html Original Video: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news/video-2770019/Video-King-Charles-III-speaks-formally-announced-new-monarch.html Daily Mail Homepage: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ Daily Mail Facebook: https://facebook.com/dailymail Daily Mail IG: https://instagram.com/dailymail Daily Mail Snap: https://www.snapchat.com/discover/Daily-Mail/8392137033 Daily Mail Twitter: https://twitter.com/MailOnline Daily Mail Pinterest: https://pinterest.co.uk/dailymail Get the free Daily Mail mobile app: https://dailymail.co.uk/mobile
