Destroy to protect.
μ α γ ε ί α … we are a magical society who grants the wishes of humans. We have incredible abilities, bestowed upon us by the gods, although these abilities come with great sacrifice, losing a part of ourselves we once held dear. If we cease granting wishes, the darkness will slowly eat away at us. It is an eternal contract. As we grant a wish, we are spreading our darkness upon them, to protect ourselves for a while longer. Which means, we are destroying them, bribing them with their desires. This is our fate, if we want to live. We must stand together. We are μ α γ ε ί α .
