London’s V&A opens its £55m Exhibition Road Quarter

Explore the V&A’s new Exhibition Road Quarter – the largest architectural intervention at the London museum for over 100 years. Designed by AL_A, it includes a tile-covered courtyard landscape, a café, an entrance hall and a vast, column-free subterranean exhibition space. AL_A have carved openings into the courtyard and extension, funnelling light into the building’s underbelly. These also offer poetic glimpses of the juxtaposition between old and new.
