Happy 40th birthday Jason!!!
Well it's been a while since I uploaded anything as I've been busy with some things lately. But I wasn't gonna let J's 40th pass without posting some quality stuff :) I've already uploaded quite a bit from the year 2000 and this stuff is as good and rare as just about any of his old stuff. The Rhythm Cafe CDs were recorded the year before Live at Java Joe's and represent some of the earliest shared live recordings of his classic early music. I believe at that time his only release had been A Jason Mraz Demonstration, so most of his songs from the 90s and 2000 could only be heard by seeing him perform. These CDs are sort of an unofficial live album and beautifully captured the atmosphere of what an acoustic Mraz show at a Southern California coffee shop or club was all about. Some tracks are solo. Some are duo with Toca Rivera, and some are the original trio featuring Carlos Olmeda, Toca's brother. I already uploaded 3 Rhythm Cafe tracks a few months ago, but didn't mention what they were from: Hey Love, Strange, and What We Want.

Hope you enjoy them! I'll be uploading them and some other stuff that I was meaning to over the coming days and weeks. Here's to another 40 years of great music from one of the most legendary and underrated voices, songwriters, and performers of our time: Jason Mraz. In the smaller picture, here's hoping that the Hollywood Bowl birthday show becomes a live album, another studio album is coming soon, and that more tour dates will be announced for the rest of the year so I can see him again ASAP haha!!
