MXMS BIO:
Me and My Shadow, or “MXMS” for short, is singer Ariel Levitan and keyboardist Jeremy Dawson. The two of them met in late 2013; instantly connecting through the trauma and tragedy of their personal lives. Channeling their influencers Massive Attack, Vast, Tricky and Johnny Cash the duo shower broken beats, dark pianos and angry synths into their songwriting and performances; all centered around Ariels haunting and hypnotic vocals. They’ve defined their sound as “funeral pop”, punishing the boundaries of dark music and film. The band has a row of releases and collaborations and a feature cinema score rolling into early 2017.
