THEY DID NOT DESERVE THIS. WE DO NOT DESERVE THIS.
I cannot believe that last scene happened. I refuse to believe Matt Casey is dead and that is how Dawsey's story ends. I REFUSE. There is no way that Dawsey fought in literally the entire episode and never got the chance to make up. I know how much the writers love torturing us but not this much. They would never go that far so I still have hope that Matt is alive.
Most of you probably know this but Dawsey is one of my favourite ships of all time. I have loved them ever since I first started Chicago Fire. Chicago Fire was the first show I started out of the franchise and it still remains my favourite, along with Dawsey being my favourite of all the shows. I love them so much and once again I am not believing that, that is how their story ends.
Can you believe that in the last scene they weren't actually in a scene together yet they are able to make me sob like a baby? They have chemistry and they are not even face to face. That is how incredible and amazing they are. They have this undeniable love that even in such a heartbreaking scene like this, they are able to make us feel every single type of emotion. I applaud Monica and Jesse for portraying this scene the best possible way imaginable.
"Chief is Gabby there? Put her on." "Yeah baby, I'm here. I'm here." I FOUND THIS SO BEAUTIFUL I'M SAD THAT IT'S UNDERRATED. Gabby literally jumped at the chance to talk to Matt. She was not waiting another second. She didn't care if they hadn't of made up she needed to speak to him no matter what.
Matt saying goodbye to Gabby was one of the most painful and heartbreaking scenes I have ever watched. He wanted her to remember them being happy and in love and not like this. He didn't want this to be the last memory he had of her. He just wants her to be happy more than anything. "You're my miracle Gabby. You're my miracle. I love you." SO BEAUTIFUL I COULD NOT STOP CRYING. Matt calling Gabby his miracle I can't. We all know Matt is Gabby's miracle too and hopefully that is what will save him.
GABRIELA DAWSON DESERVES BETTER. Leave her alone. What has she done to go through this much pain? To all the people who hate on Gabby because she cries too much can go away. She has every right to cry. She's lost her best friend, her two children and maybe the love of her life? I think the fuck not. If the writers take Matt away from Gabby I will never be over it. I will possibly stop watching. Dawsey is honestly the heart of the show and I hope the writers aren't dumb enough to realise what would happen if they took them away.
Okay so this might be the most angsty video I have ever done mainly because of the song and the episode we just watched. So I apologise if I make any of you cry. There are a couple of glitches in the voiceovers but I couldn't be bothered to render them again since I have had a long day at work. I hope you all like this anyway :)
