Lyrics:Make a move...
Make a move...
Yes, I'm the one
Who believes in having fun
Don't you ever be too shy?
See me face to face
Tell me you will take my case
I could fall for you - no lie
'Cause I know you wanna go
Where the bad boys go
And you wanna do that stuff they do
Baby we could have a good time too
Don't, don't
Don't be so shy
Girl
Don't, don't
Don't look so cool
Don't, don't
Don't be so shy
Ohh make a move
Make a move...
You don't need to hide
All the passion deep inside
Don't you look your love - uptight
Get your green jeans on
Bring your dancing shoes along
'Cause we're going out tonight
And I know you wanna stand
Where the band is hot
And you wanna feel the crowd get high
Baby, all you gotta do is fly
Make a move...
Don't, don't
Don't be so shy
Don't, don't
Don't be so shy
You can find the groove
Make a move...
Don't, don't
Don't be so shy
Girl
Don't, don't
Don't look so cool
Don't, don't
Don't be so shy
Ohh make a move
You can find the groove
Don't, don't
Don't be so shy
Girl
Don't, don't
Don't look so cool
Don't, don't
Don't be so shy
You can find the groove
Moti Special was a multinational synth pop band, which arose in 1981 in Hamburg. Founders were Manfred "Tissy" Thiers (singer / bassist), Michael Cretu (keyboardist), Reinhard "Dicky" Tarrach (drummer) and the Danish Nils Tuxen (guitarist). All the members were already experienced professional musicians, who at the same time also worked in other projects; But also together, as 1980 for Peter Cornelius' album Two.
The name "Moti Special" goes back to a sharp, Indian dish that singer Manfred "Tissy" Thiers had eaten at a London restaurant.
Although founded in 1981, the commercial success of the group did not materialize until the mid-1980s. Their greatest successes were the songs Cold Days, Hot Nights and Do not Be So Shy, which in 1985 became top 10 hits in Germany. To match this, the first album motivation appeared. It was produced in the Data Alpha Studios in Munich and came into the charts in 1985. Producers were Michael Cretu & Armand Volker. This team was also active in the 1980s for other German pop musicians, such as Sandra and Hubert Kah.
Michael Cretu and Manfred "Tissy" Thiers founded the project "Cretu & Thiers" a short time later and have not appeared since then under the name "Moti Special".
Nevertheless, 1990 saw a second album of the band. Dicky Tarrach and Nils Tuxen had joined up with the new bassist Anders Mossberg and the new singer / keyboardist Frank Ardahl (Ådahl). However, commercial success did not materialize.
