When I first heard the original Marian Hill “Down” song, I knew I wanted to do a cover of this but do something totally different.
The softness of the verses with the fullness of the choruses made me instantly think of the violin - a sweet soft sounding instrument that could, at the same time, be such an influential sound in a particular song.
