Bollywood Sanskrit translation - Hawa Hawai - Mr. India

 

Chinmay Phadke from Nagpur is a software engineer currently working in Pune. He has a hobby to translate Hindi songs into Sanskrit (retaining the original tune). Recently, Chinmay has translated the song Hawa Hawai, from the movie Mr. India, which is presented here in the form of a karaoke track. Singer Mrs. Pournima Deshpande Hatekar has lent her voice for this song and has also helped Chinmay in editing and designing this video. The translation is as follows:- अहं स्वप्नस्य राजकुमारी अहं सर्वत्र प्रसृता अस्मि मेघाः सन्ति मम केशाः विद्युत् मम जृम्भा अस्ति विद्युत् क्षेपणाय अहम् आयामि विद्युत् क्षेपणाय अहम् आयामि कथयन्ति सर्वे मां हवाहवाई ।।धृ।। किं चिन्तयथ मां बलिशाः नावधारयताहं निष्कपटा सर्पसम्राज्ञी अहं, दंशामीच्छानुगुणम् सागरात् रत्नान् छिनद्मि, दीपकात् ज्योतिं छिनद्मि शिलाः अहं ज्वालयामि, हृद्भ्यः रहस्यान् मुष्णामि हा मुष्णामि, आ मुष्णामि गोपय किमपि मा कपटाचारि गोपय किमपि मा कपटाचारि कथयन्ति सर्वे मां हवाहवाई ।।1।। For those who know Sanskrit, please don't hesitate to figure out any grammatical mistakes you come across.
