Playing around in my watercolour journal that my daughter made me. I applied a layer of gesso on the left page followed by two coats of absorbent ground. The right page was plain old watercolour paper - no gesso. I used watercolour paints and sprays on both, dripped water and rubbing alcohol on both to see how they compared. I didn't see much comparison at all. Although I think the absorbent ground would be awesome to use in your "normal" journal if you wanted to use watercolours in it.
Thanks so much for watching and stay tuned for more!
