Joris Voorn & Joran van Pol - Sonic Highway, released on 2015-10-09 by Rejected - REJ047
Sonic Highway is the result of a coming together of two of Hollands brightest stars. Rejected boss Joris Voorn took part in a Red Bull Studios Amsterdam project back in the summer of 2014, in conjunction with Mystery Land Festival, where he was to select a rising Dutch talent and work on a new composition together. Joris chose Joran van Pol, the young, gifted Minus signing who had also made a Rejected debut back on February with Perpetuous. Together they created the as yet unreleased Reverse Rotation. Inspired by the project Joris invited Joran to work together on a new release for the label and Sonic Highway was born. Having worked together on ideas, both then flew solo in creating their own individual version. Label boss Voorn takes us on an evening cruise, with his spritely, bouncing melody keeping our speed in check as the night darkens and the lights flash past. Joran rolls out a much deeper, moodier, but urgent version with his late night foot-to-the-floor mix.

Rejected was founded in 2006 by Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal. Together with the launch of their producers outfit Rejected they decided to start their own imprint. With the very first release, Rejected set a standard for high quality dance floor fodder. It was only uphill from there, releasing one club hit after another and signing some of the most cutting edge names in contemporary house and techno.
