Earthship Aquaponics 2015

 

A video about Aquaponics made in a global model Earthship in The Greater World, near Taos, New Mexico. The system was built by myself and some other students last October (2014) after we attended the Earthship Academy course. The course was an incredible experience into independent living. Aquaponics is just one part of the many great things we studied there. We were very inspired and luckily found a local resident who was happy to have us build them a simple Aquaponics system. The videos you see hear are just after we built the system. The photos featured were supplied by the owners a few months later in which you can see it working great, happy plants are growing! So much so that they have expanded the growing space with buckets hanging and are looking for more IBC tote containers to cut the tops off and use as grow beds, like the one in the system.
