NS Asheville District 4/10/14: Coal Dust and Brake Smoke

A couple of hours after P34 ran back west, they latched onto the tail end of eastbound coal drag 748 to help them up the grade to Ridgecrest. I chased the train east, shooting them east of Swannanoa and at Round Knob in the Loops. The train created quite the bit of brake shoe smoke as it slid downgrade. Power and shots were as follows: 748: NS ES44AC 8165, UP SD70M 4524, and NS ES44AC 8141 P34: NS D9-44CW 9092, BNSF C44-9W 4844, and NS SD70ACe 1122 Swannanoa: 1441 HRS Round Knob: 1543 HRS
