Get the mp3 (320kbps)! http://bit.ly/1g8gj2n Get the tab! http://bit.ly/1lb1y40 Here's an early cover! And yes it's more Ace Attorney! These songs, which are arrangements of the same basic song, are probably our favourites in the new game :D so it seemed obvious to cover them together. It was a bit of a challenge to fit the two moods together, but hopefully the accelerating section we wrote helps! Arrangement wise, we played it pretty straight for the second half as I wanted some practice in mixing rock guitars and tightening up the drums. I feel like I've made some progress, thanks to all the people posting about needing to turn the drums up! We're also using a new bass drum sound because I was sick of the old one. So that's cool, hopefully it sounds good. For the first half, we tried to create an orchestral mood without using any orchestral elements, hopefully that worked! We took a page out of Radiohead's book in avoiding double tracking the arpeggios and just panning them to one side and creating an unbalanced mix. I put a lot more work than usual into mastering this one (usually I just boost the volume with a limiter) and used multiband compression and everything. Not sure I changed all that much but hopefully the final product sounds good! Also the chill section sounds way more like surf rock than I intended. Next cover is a really cool song from the latest Pokemon game! Composed by Noriyuki Iwadare.
