Minimal Man - Loneliness

Written By Paul Dickerson on Thursday, Oct 31, 2013 | 02:14 AM

Extracted from Minimal Man's The Shroud Of LP. Conceived, recorded, and produced by Patrick Miller, 1981. The critic Neil Strauss, in his New York Times-published obituary recalls of Miller's signature eyeless paintings: 'They were all variations on one image: a featureless head or mask, usually wrapped in strips of bandages that were peeling off to reveal a discolored, decomposed face. It was a self-portrait. It wasn't even a mask; it was what lay beneath the mask - a paranoid, dark, disturbed shell of a human being."
