"On Friday, PSY the mega-star singer of "Gangnam Style" got into some trouble when it was unearthed that nearly a decade ago, he participated in several South Korean protest concerts against the United States military. In one particular instance, he rapped about "slowly and painfully" killing U.S. military members and their families. Eventually, the musician issued a heartfelt apology, expressing great regret at using such harsh words in reaction to political events that had spurned anti-American vitriol at the time in his native Korea. One of his protest performances, in reaction to American soldiers getting away with running over two Korean school-girls with a tank, reportedly included him rapping anti-American lyrics and smashing a miniature model of a U.S. tank on the stage."* 'Gangnam Style' singer Psy is under fire from Fox News for being anti-American in a video from years ago that recently surfaced. Should he be judged harshly for the anger he was feeling for the deaths of two South-Korean girls? Should he be assumed anti-American? Ana Kasparian and John Iadarola (Host, TYT University) discuss the issue. *Read more from Andrew Kirell/ Mediaite: http://www.mediaite.com/online/watch-video-of-psys-anti-american-military-performance-that-got-him-in-trouble/ Support The Young Turks by Subscribing http://bit.ly/TYTonYouTube Support The Young Turks by Shopping http://bit.ly/XhuNqO Like Us on Facebook: Follow Us on Twitter: http://bit.ly/OkX87X Buy TYT Merch: http://theyoungturks.spreadshirt.com/
