A couple of Muslim Badjao teens from Davao City go caroling thumping on the traditional handmade bongo drums. But this time, introducing a new sound in their ethnic beat - the Budots, Davao's music of the slums. What is BUDOTS? "Budots" came from the word "TABUDOTS"- meaning, a person(s) dancing in crazy moves or funny dance steps or whatsoever crazy dance and came "BUDOTS" DANCE or "sayaw sa mga tabudot". It's simple yet have deep bass, static sounds, occasional scratching, horns of varying pitches and tempo, DJ spiels throughout, sometimes distorted vocals, looped all over and which makes up the "budots" formula. http://modernpinoyblog.blogspot.com/2012/03/teach-me-how-to-budots.html
