Susan recorded "Which Way You Goin' Billy?" while she was the lead singer for the Poppy Family. This was their biggest hit, reaching #1 on the charts in Canada, #1 on Cashbox and #2 on Billboard in the U.S. as well as topping the international charts. Although she sang all the harmonies on the recording, Terry Jacks would lip-sync them on their various television appearances to give the appearance of a group.
