N-Dubz are a British hip hop trio from Camden Town, north-west London, made up of cousins Dappy (Costadinos Contostavlos) and Tulisa (Tula Contostavlos) alongside their friend Fazer (Richard Rawson). Formed in 2000 and named in tribute to Dappy and Tulisa's mentor Byron Contostavlos, the group won the MOBO Award for Best Newcomer in 2007 and became one of the defining acts of the late-2000s British urban scene, scoring eight UK top 40 singles across their run.
Cold Shoulder was the fifth video pulled from N-Dubz's third studio album Love.Live.Life, released on 29 November 2010 through All Around the World and Island Records. The album marked the end of the group's original era — it was recorded around their push to break America, which led to a deal with Def Jam, and was followed by an announcement that the trio would take a hiatus to pursue solo projects. N-Dubz reunited in 2022 for a sold-out UK arena tour and remain active today.
The Cold Shoulder video was directed by George Burt for Luti Media, shot at No. 5 Cavendish Square in London's West End immediately before the group flew out to the United States. High on glamour, swagger and burlesque styling, it was the last of the album's run of videos, arriving in the spring of 2011 as the group prepared to step away.
