Martin Karow es Dj Ickarus, un disc-jockey y productor de electro en la cresta de la ola. Sus noches transcurren en clubs de techno alrededor del mundo y sus días de aeropuerto en aeropuerto. Le acompaña Mathilde, su manager y novia. Ambos se encuentran en plena producción del próximo álbum de Ickarus cuando, tras una de sus actuaciones, Martin acaba en los servicios de urgencia de un hospital psiquiátrico berlinés debido a los excesos con las drogas. Durante los días que deberá pasar internado, continúa trabajando en su disco, pero su situación personal comienza a resultar demasiado frustrante. La compañía discográfica no parece demasiado interesada en publicar su trabajo y, tras escaparse del hospital, se entrega a un orgiástico fin de semana en compañía de una de sus fans. La espiral autodestructiva en la Martin se ha situado parece no tener fin y, de nuevo, ingresará en el hospital, esta vez por propia voluntad. El proceso de recuperación se antoja complicado pero, finalmente, parece haber una luz al final del túnel.....

Plot:
Der Berliner Elektro Komponist Martin (Paul Kalkbrenner), genannt DJ Ickarus, tourt mit seiner Managerin und Freundin Mathilde (Rita Lengyel) durch die Tanzclubs der Welt und sie stehen kurz vor ihrer größten Albumveröffentlichung. Als Ickarus jedoch nach einem Auftritt im Drogenrausch in eine Berliner Nervenklinik eingeliefert wird, kommen alle Pläne durcheinander Eine Tragikomödie im Berlin von heute.

Plot:
Berlin electronic music composer Martin (Paul Kalkbrenner), known as DJ Ickarus, is touring with his manager and girlfriend Mathilde (Rita Lengyel) from club to club around the globe and is about to release their biggest album to date. However, all of his plans are thrown out of kilter after Ickarus is submitted to the emergency ward of a psychiatric clinic high on drugs after a gig- A tragicomedy in Berlin of today.
