Mobb Deep, a well-known hip hop duo from Queens, New York, was formed in 1991. The group consisted of rappers and producers Prodigy and Havoc, and they gained fame for their tough East Coast rap style. They achieved significant success, selling over three million records with popular albums like The Infamous, Hell on Earth, and Murda Muzik, along with hit singles such as "Shook Ones (Part II)" and "Survival of the Fittest." Their music reflected the gritty realities of city life. Although they disbanded in 2012, they reunited in 2013. Unfortunately, Prodigy passed away in June 2017. As of 2023, Havoc is working on a new album for Mobb Deep.
