Ashley Summers, 35, began feeling severely dehydrated over the Fourth of July weekend. She was out at Lake Freeman with her husband and two young daughters. The mom of two from Indiana, US, told her family it felt like she couldn’t drink enough water to feel satiated.
After drinking an excessive amount of water in a very short span of time, she eventually collapsed and passed away from water toxicity — a rare consequence of drinking too much water too quickly.
