Chandrayaan 3 Update: After a twenty-three day journey, Chandrayaan-3, India's ambitious spacecraft aiming for a soft landing on the moon, successfully entered lunar orbit on Saturday evening, marking another significant milestone in its mission. The spacecraft has commenced its circular motion around the moon, currently in an elliptical orbit at varying distances from the lunar surface. Over the next few days, the orbit altitude will be progressively lowered to achieve a circular orbit of 100 km x 100 km. A final descent on the lunar surface is scheduled around August 23, with the first altitude reduction maneuver planned for Sunday.
