I love visiting Captiva & look forward to my annual stay each summer. I was so curious to find out what staying there this year would be like since the area was hit by Hurricane Ian and did so much damage just south in another of my favorite places, Sanibel.
I took lots of videos and photos while visiting this summer and put together some of the clips that I thought others might find helpful and or interesting.
If you have stayed on Captiva then you will recognize many of the places. South Sea Plantation was not open while I was there, but I do think they are starting to book again based on an email I recently received.
Tween Waters has been open for awhile and there are other videos that show it's progress so I didn't get into anything about this resort.
The island was not crowded at all. Very different than past years.
