Narrated Abu Hazim:
Some men came to Sahl bin Sa`d to ask him about the pulpit. He replied, "Allah's Apostle sent for a woman (Sahl named her) (this message): 'Order your slave carpenter to make pieces of wood (i.e. a pulpit) for me so that I may sit on it while addressing the people.' So, she ordered him to make it from the tamarisk of the forest. He brought it to her and she sent it to Allah's Apostle . Allah's Apostle ordered it to be placed in the mosque: so, it was put and he sat on it.Sahih al-Bukhari 2094
the forest:
It is located north of Medina, behind Mount Uhud, in an area called today Al-Khalil, and in the past it was called Al-Ghaba. It is an agricultural area and has become connected to Medina.
Al-Ghaba was and still is a fertile area with many plants and trees, and it had agricultural properties for Muslims, including the companion Al-Zubayr bin Al-Awam, and it was considered one of the main pastures of the city.
And she was looking after the beauty of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
As for his pulpit:
It is the first pulpit made in Islam. He was from the proverbs of the forest, his work was a boy to a woman from the Ansar whose name was Mina, and it was said: Ibrahim. It was said otherwise, and it was two degrees and a seat..then it changed with the passage of time and was renewed several times
