This weird story was ahead of it's time, but also very very obsessed with the past. It breaks all the traditional fairy tale rules... but then sticks to them in the most decadent, over-the-top ways!! This old strange fairytale has everything - extremely evil fairies, the weirdest-named princess, sleeping prince beauties, a weird eyeball and tooth, curses, enchantments, ogres, mythological references, goddesses Hestia, Vesta, Aphrodite, Venus (just to name a few), oblivious fathers, helpful fairy godmothers (of sorts), and the weirdest gifts so far from fairies. On this animated adventure, we look at Princess "Fairer-than-a-Fairy" sometimes "Fairerthanafairy" (yeah that's a mouthful) and everything she has to go through to save her Prince Rainbow. I also dive into some of the origins of the old lore, mythology, and symbolism in this fairy tale. This Once Upon a Time is certainly weird, and I think you'll appreciate this twisted Happily Ever After. So, let's save a prince?
